Haan-Fawn Chau

Haan-Fawn Chau is the Special Projects Manager at the Los Angeles Food Policy Council, a collective impact initiative working to make Southern California a Good Food region for everyone—where food is healthy, affordable, fair and sustainable. Haan-Fawn joined the LAFPC staff in 2011 and works on organizational development, communications, research, and policy analysis. She has over twelve years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, plus a background in environmental issues and urban planning. Previously, she worked for the ocean conservation group Heal the Bay, where she specialized in watershed education, public outreach, programs management and event planning, and later authored a report on green infrastructure and low impact development for the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works. Haan-Fawn earned her undergraduate degree in earth & environmental science from Wesleyan University and holds a master’s degree in urban planning from UCLA.
